Recently, I revisited Nak Won Garden, a spot I used to frequent for its delightful ginseng chicken soup, pork belly, and beef bibimbap. Since my last visit, the restaurant has not only reopened post-pandemic but has also introduced some tantalizing new dishes. The Korean roasted pork knuckle and roasted beef were standout additions, bringing a new level of flavor to the table, although the Korean fried chicken wings were just average. The atmosphere here remains as inviting as ever, with its unassuming yet pristinely clean space. The complimentary hot barley tea is a nice touch, setting the stage for an authentic Korean dining experience. The service is quick, sometimes too quick, as dishes are whisked away in a rush, making you feel a bit hurried. Despite this, the food quality and the warm, albeit slightly bossy, service remind me of the bustling eateries in Seoul. Whether it’s the crispy hae-mul pajun or the perfectly cooked LA galbi, every dish seems to transport you straight to Korea. If you’re craving genuine Korean flavors and don’t mind a bustling, energetic dining environment, Nak Won Garden is definitely worth a visit.
