‘It’s Going to Be Covered Up!’ Fox & Friends Diners Get ‘Heated’ Over Trump Assassination Attempt

Fox & Friends co-host Lawrence Jones talked to “passionate” and “heated” Donald Trump supporters on Monday following a failed assassination attempt on Saturday in Pennsylvania.

“I love to see this,” one man told Jones, then throwing his fist in the air, mimicking Trump doing the same at his rally after being shot. The former president stopped the Secret Service after being hit in the ear so he could put his fist in the air and tell the crowd repeatedly, “Fight!”

The man, interviewed at a Pewaukee, Wisconsin diner, continued by saying the country “desperately needs” Trump back in office, arguing for more control at the southern border and exclaiming that millions have been “lost” to Ukraine as the United States continues to back their fight to push against a Russian invasion.

“We’re paying for them, and that’s not fair. And it’s only for one thing: a vote. A vote, and that’s bullshit!” the man said.

Another voter wearing a MAGA hat, MAGA shirt, and holding an American flag suggested there will be a “cover up” of the televised assassination attempt. He also praised the fist-in-the-air moment, calling it “awesome.”

According to the voter:

I watched a bunch of podcasts of people, just civilians, going, hey, there’s a guy that’s got a gun, he’s got a rifle. All of this and they’re saying it’s the police, the FBI, or whoever, and nothing’s happening. We’re the citizens seeing it and so I’m just — there’s got to be answers, but I just believe that we’re not going to get the answers that we need and it’s just going to be covered up.

Several rallygoers were also hit during Saturday’s shooting, one fatally, while two others are recovering. Secret Service identified the shooter after he was killed when agents returned fire. The shooter was on a rooftop outside the perimeter with metal detectors for the outdoor event.

According to an Associated Press report, an officer confronted the shooter just minutes before the former president was shot, responding to reports of suspicious activity on the rooftop.

Other diners on Fox & Friends on Monday offered full-throated support for the former president. One man called Trump flying to Milwaukee after the shooting for the Republican National Convention a “show of strength.”

Another woman insisted the country needs only “two things” to course correct: “God back in our nation and Trump. Everything will fall into place.”

“I know it’s a little passionate, a little heated,” Jones told his co-hosts after speaking to some diners, “but I think that is the tone we’re hearing. People are upset, but they’re resilient and they’re saying if the former president had the courage, the stand to show up after Secret Security officials said, let’s hold off a little bit, then they’re going to show up for him.”
