NEW POLL: Kamala Harris Beating Trump by 4 in All-Important Pennsylvania

A shocking new poll indicates that Vice President Kamala Harris , the presumptive Democratic nominee for president, may have a leg up on Republican nominee Donald Trump in the pivotal battleground state of Pennsylvania.

According to a survey carried out by Susquehanna Polling and Research, Harris boasts a 4-point (47%-43%) lead in the state. The poll of 600 voters, which carries a 4% margin of error and was conducted between July 22 and 28, suggested that just 3% of voters were leaning toward voting for independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. , while an additional 7% said they were not sure who they would cast their ballot for this November.

Pennsylvania has been one of the most hotly-contested — and most important — states in each of the past two presidential elections, lending Trump its electoral votes by a .72% margin in 2016 and giving President Joe Biden the nod by 1.17% in 2020.

According to RealClearPolitics’ average of Pennsylvania polls — which does not yet include the Susquehanna survey — Trump leads Harris by just .3% in the Keystone State.

On Tuesday, CNN’s Harry Enten identified Pennsylvania as an especially crucial state in this year’s election.

“The chance that this state puts either Harris or Trump over the top in the Electoral College, once again, look at Pennsylvania as the clear one runaway winner here. A 30% chance,” marveled Enten.

“Why is Pennsylvania so important? Well, it has so many electoral votes. It has 19 electoral votes, right?” he continued. “So if you’re able to put that in your back pocket, all of a sudden your electoral map for Kamala Harris becomes that much easier. And it makes Donald Trump’s map a lot more harder.”
