Lima's NAACP financially supports students with 9th annual scholarship program
LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The NAACP continues their tradition of investing in Lima's young people. Their 9th annual scholarship banquet selected four incoming college freshmen to receive funding. Winners were chosen based on their GPA and an essay about their goals for school and their careers. Scholarship recipient Malachi Talbert, who graduated from Lima Central Catholic, will be studying biology at Ohio State Lima starting this fall, and after graduation, he will continue his education working towards a career in the medical field.
Inaugural Lima Masters tournament brings golfers together to raise money for local sports programs
HARROD, OH (WLIO) - The Lima community turned out for a golf tournament to ensure today's kids have the same opportunities they did. On Saturday, the 1st annual Lima Masters was held. The tournament started off years ago as a Lima native reunion in Columbus, but this year, the founders decided to bring it home and use the outing to raise money for athletic programs in local schools. This year's proceeds will be donated to the Lima City Schools football program through the new nonprofit 4 The Friendship. Many participants moved away from Lima a long time ago but were happy to come back for a good time and a good cause.

The Project consists of constructing This project involves the resurfacing of several streets within the City of Greenville. Specific work is to include the milling of existing asphalt, and the placement of tack coat, new asphalt, pavement markings, and spot full-depth repair. Traffic shall be maintained throughout the project. The engineer’s estimate for this project is $1,699,794.00.
