Black: A Festival of Joy empowers and unites
The 90-degree heat did not deter a crowd of Hoosiers from filling the Taggart Memorial Amphitheater at Riverside Park for the third year of Black: A Festival of Joy. The event, presented by Ganggang, featured vendors, music and live performances. A line of food trucks was on hand to keep the crowds fed including local favorites like The Grub House and Gip Got Tips barbecue.
Granger's Bella Bauer as Miss Indiana Teen 2024
Recent Penn High School Graduate and soon-to-be student at Purdue University, Bella Bauer is representing the state of Indiana as Miss Indiana Teen 2024. Though she won the biggest title at the competition, Bauer also won the preliminary talent award, overall dance award, tied for the overall interview award and the Joy of Life award.
