MILFORD (WGME) -- A Maine man is accused of assaulting a woman, locking children inside a room, and threatening to blow up a house in Milford. The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office says they got a report on Monday around 12:50 a.m. that 46-year-old William Abernathy of Milford had assaulted a woman and was threatening to blow up their house. According to deputies, they found the woman who confirmed she had been assaulted.

ORONO, Maine — The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention announced Tuesday that mosquitos in Orono tested positive for carrying Jamestown Canyon Virus. Penobscot County officials say one person was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Stetson. The crash on the Mullen Road in Stetson was reported to the Penobscot Regional Communications Center at approximately 12:10 Friday morning.
