Reeves, along with developers, took WEAR News on a tour to check out the progress made so far on the "Blake Doyle Skatepark."The city broke ground on the more than $2 million dollar project in August 2022.The project developers say there's only a few things left to get done."The skatepark is mostly completed at this time," Jack Mayson, Bear General Contractors project manager said. "Within the immediate seeable features, we still have some earth work, grating, landscaping, sidewalks. We also have some artificial turf coming in. We are also working on re-doing some stripping on the streets so we have adequate parking to get everybody in here. So we should be wrapped up hopefully in the next three weeks or so, and get this handed over to the city."The City of Pensacola says the skatepark will open on May 2 at 3 p.m.</div></body>
