    U.S. Navy Blue Angels air show coming soon: full schedule

    PENSACOLA, Fla. ( WKRG ) — The Blue Angels, which fly in Pensacola, Florida, have released their full schedule for this year’s Pensacola Beach Air Show. The Santa Rosa Island Authority will host the event.

    “Every year we look forward to hosting this world-class air show along our world-class beach to really showcase our hometown heroes, the Blue Angels,” said Robbie Schrock, director of administration for the SRIA.

    The Blue Angles will headline the Pensacola Beach Air Show, which takes place from July 10 to 13. Other events on the air and on the ground include world-class aerobatic performers, interactive exhibits, military recruitment stations, and many different vendors.

    Before flights begin, the SRIA requires that the public suspend all flights of drones or unmanned aircraft. The suspension will take place during the air waiver hours of the Pensacola Beach Air Show.

    In addition, glass is prohibited on the beach, and leashed dogs are only allowed at the two dog-designated beaches on either side of the Island.

    Schedule for the Pensacola Beach Air Show

    July 10, 7:30 a.m .: The airshow will begin with “Breakfast with the Blues.” In this event, the Blue Angels will circle overhead to mark the show’s coordinates and the center points along Pensacola Beach.

    July 11, 2 p.m .: Blue Angels will fly over Pensacola Beach in a practice air show.

    July 12, 12 and 2 p.m .: The first event will be the civilian aerobatic fliers dress rehearsal at noon. Next, the Blue Angels will conduct the Pensacola Beach Air Show dress rehearsal.

    July 13 .: The official airshow will begin and follow the July 12, dress rehearsal schedule.

    11:45 a.m.: Spectators will be cleared from Gulf Waters, and the official airspace waiver begins.

    12 p.m .: Presentation of colors from the Red Bull Team with parachutists jumping from Aaron Fitzgerald’s helicopter at the show center.

    12:13 p.m.: The Veterans Flight Team will fly World War II biplanes and vintage aircraft to honor WWII and Korean War veterans.

    12:28 p.m.: Wingwalker Carol Pilan and the Third Strike Wingwalking team will demonstrate walking on jet-propelled aircraft. Pilan is the first and only female jet-propelled wingwalker.

    12:39 p.m.: The Redline Aerobatic Team will fly with pilots: Ken Rieder, Adam Baker and Austin Rieder. Austin Reider is Ken’s son and a newcomer to this year’s aerobatic show.

    12:54 p.m.: Pilot Skip Stewart will perform with his famous red, white, and black-checkered biplane, Prometheus. He will be performing the signature inverted ribbon-cutting over the Pensacola Beach Pier.

    1:06 p.m.: The first woman to win U.S National Aerobatic champion, Patty Wagstaff, will amaze crowds over Pensacola Beach in her Extra 330 aircraft.

    1:21 p.m.: The Red Bull Airforce Team will return with Kevin Coleman and Aaron Fitzgerald performing a joint aerial demonstration.

    2 p.m.: The Blue Angels will take off with their headlining performance! Fat Albert will fly first, followed by six blue and gold F-18 Super Hornets.
