Pensacola Blue Wahoos, Whataburger and Manna Food Bank seek food donations — how you can help

PENSACOLA, Fla. ( WKRG ) — The Pensacola Blue Wahoos and Whataburger are partnering with Manna Food Bank to collect food donations.

According to a news release, the partnership, part of the Strike Out Hunger with Manna initiative, invites attendees of the Pensacola Blue Wahoos home games to bring nonperishable food donations.

The initiative is set to last through Sept. 1, the release said. Manna food boxes will be set up near the ballpark entrance to allow fans to drop off their donations.

There will be a featured item from Manna’s Most Needed Items list during each home game:

• Boxes of Oatmeal (with individual packets) – July 19 through 21
• Canned Vegetables (14.5 – 16 oz.) – July 23 through 28
• Canned Meats (5 – 12 oz. cans of chicken and tuna) – August 13 through 18
• Canned Fruit (14.5 – 20 oz. cans of fruit in 100% juice) – All Home Games

To help incentivize donations, Whataburger is offering fans who donate a Whataburger coupon.
