    Spooky Halloween events in Pensacola: HalloweenFest, trick or treating and more

    Halloween is peeking just over the horizon as August wraps up and we begin to head into September.

    To commemorate the approaching spooky season, you can already head over to our local Spirit Halloween stores , which are already open.

    Here's a look at what Halloween events you can look forward to this year, and let us know if we missed any or if your event just announced details by emailing us at online@pnj.com .

    Pensacola Arts Market: Spooky Vibes

    • When : 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sept. 14
    • Where : Cordova Square Park, 1136 N. 11th St.

    The Pensacola Arts Market is going to get weird and have some fun as it celebrates spooky season on Sept. 14 with a special Halloween edition. You’ll find local artisans, discover one-of-a-kind spooky treasures and enjoy live music. Be sure to dress up, too.

    Boo Bash 2024 – Kids Halloween party in Pensacola

    • When : 10 a.m., Oct. 5
    • Where : Hilton Garden Inn Pensacola Airport/Medical Center

    You and your little ones can head over to Pensacola’s Hilton Garden Inn for a special indoor Boo Bash that features bounce houses, ball pits, toddler soft play activities, crafts and a dance party. This event is for kids ages 7 and under. Ticket information has yet to be released.

    Halloweenfest

    • When : 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Oct. 5-6
    • Where : Splash City Adventure, 6709 Pensacola Blvd.

    PensaCon and Splash City Adventure are again teaming up for HalloweenFest. Admission for the event is free and you can stay and play all day at Splash City for just $9.99. Austin St. John, who played the Red Power Ranger in the "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" TV series, and Ryan Drummond, who voiced Sonic the Hedgehog in multiple video games, will be in attendance for the fun. As a bonus, stay Saturday night and watch the hosts of Pensacola's own nationally syndicated horror show, "Nightmare Theatre," present "Attack of the Giant Leeches!"

    Boo at the Zoo

    • When : 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Oct. 12-13, 19-20 and 26-27
    • Where : Gulf Breeze Zoo, 5701 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze

    Boo at the Zoo returns to the Gulf Breeze Zoo and includes Halloween entertainment, kid-friendly fun and a trick-or-treat trail. There will be toys, bounce houses, face painting and the Ambassador Animal Headquarters in addition to having access to the full zoo. Tickets are $27.95 for adults, $20.95 for kids and $25.95 for seniors. Zoo members will need to purchase tickets to attend this event. The cost is $10 per member.

    Beach-O-Ween

    • When: 4-8 p.m., Oct. 18
    • Where: Pensacola Beach Boardwalk

    The 6th annual Beach-O-Ween event will take place at the Pensacola Beach Boardwalk on Oct. 18. There will be a Halloween bounce house, costume contest, games, face painting and hotdogs. Everything is completely free, and there will be plenty of candy to go around.

    4th annual Batty Fang-tastic Halloween

    • When : 3-7 p.m., Oct. 19
    • Where : 3051 Cloptons Circle, Navarre

    The Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge is celebrating Halloween with its animal ambassadors. Families can come and enjoy games, crafts, trick or treating, food trucks, a trail walk and more. Entry to the event is $5 and an entry ticket with a game pass is $15. Tickets go on sale soon.

    Halloween Market at Emerald Republic Brewing

    • When : 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Oct. 15
    • Where : Emerald Republic Brewing, 1414 W. Government St.

    Emerald Republic Brewing is hosting its annual Halloween market on Oct. 15. The event will have a collection of local vendors and companies showcasing their spooky wares for you to buy. Short Fuse Pizza will be on hand to feed any empty stomachs.

    2nd annual Trunk or Treat

    • When : 6 to 8 p.m., Oct. 24
    • Where : Academy Sports + Outdoors, 7171 N. Davis Highway

    Pensacola Jeeps is hosting its second annual trunk or treat event open to the public. There will be decorated jeeps, candy, a bounce house, games, food trucks and more.

    The Haunting of Emerald Republic

    • When : 6-11:45 p.m., Oct. 26
    • Where : Emerald Republic Brewing, 1414 W. Government St.

    Emerald Republic Brewing will have a spooky, haunted taproom experience on Oct. 26, complete with beer releases, a costume contest, live music and a candy-themed cocktail menu. The costume contest will include three prizes: a $50 gift card for first place, $25 gift card for second place and a $10 gift card for third place.

    Pensacola’s 7th annual Official Halloween Bar Crawl

    • When : 4 p.m. to midnight, Oct. 26
    • Where : Several bars in downtown Pensacola; check in at 86 Forks Bar + Table, 11 Palafox Place, Suite B

    Crawl With Us is hosting what it calls a “make your own adventure crawl” in Downtown Pensacola. Tickets for the crawl include two to three drinks or shots, no cover at bars, a stadium cup and bottle opener, drink and food specials, professional photographers, an after party and more. Tickets are $15 for singles and $10 for groups that purchase four or more tickets at once. The 2024 vendors haven’t been announced yet, so check back for more details closer to Halloween.

    Beulah Church Trunk-N-Treat

    • When : 6 to 8 p.m., Oct. 31
    • Where : Beulah Church, 7561 Mobile Highway

    Beulah Church will have its annual Trunk-N-Treat event on Oct. 31st. There will be an inflatable slide, hay ride, hotdogs, cotton candy, popcorn, a giveaway and candy; all in a family friendly environment.

    Halloween Costume Contest

    • When : 9 p.m., Oct. 31
    • Where : Flora-Bama Lounge & Package, 17401 Perdido Key Drive

    Flora-Bama is hosting a special Halloween costume contest on Oct. 31. Dressing up in your costume gets you in for free. There are cash prizes for those who participate in the contest, too. First place will win $600, second place gets $500 and third place gets $400.
