Pensacola’s Red Lobster is one of the 23 national locations now on the chopping block, according to an Aug. 22 court filing.

If an Orlando judge agrees, the location at 5100 N. Ninth Ave. will be closed and vacated by Saturday. The hearing is set for Thursday to decide, according to Orlando Business Journal.

Red Lobster is readying for a possible sale to RL Purchaser LLC , which is organized and controlled by Fortress Credit Corporation, a company that has recently been acquiring other bankrupt companies, such as Alamo Drafthouse and Vice Media .

The seafood chain already closed nearly 100 locations around the country without warning, including at least 17 in Florida. However, just Last month, Red Lobster filed bankruptcy documents that included plans to c lose more restaurants in rejected leases, which the company said were losing money.

Red Lobster, which started in Lakeland, Florida and grew to be the largest seafood chain in the world, said it has more than $1 billion in debt and less than $30 million in cash on hand, CNN reported. It plans to sell the business to its lenders for financing to keep going.

On the latest list of looming closures are two other Florida locations joining Pensacola: Fort Walton Beach and Port Richey.

If all of the locations listed in the bankruptcy filings were shuttered, there are 21 restaurants that would be left of the seafood chain in the Sunshine State, including Tallahassee and Panama City, according to the company website.

    C. A. Bridges, trending writer for the USA TODAY Network - Florida, contributed to this report.
