Pensacola got its first taste of the 2024-25 NFL season this past week , and fans were quick to make friends in Pensacola sports bars over a shared excitement for their team of choice and shared hatred for the opposing one.

Let’s face it, screaming at the television over a close game is much more enjoyable when you’re not alone in your living room.

This NFL season, here’s where to find your fellow fans.

    Chicago Bears

Play at 16 Palafox Place is widely known for bringing an arcade bar to the heart of downtown Pensacola, but during NFL season, it's the place Chicago Bears fans call home.

During each game, you can expect to find a line of fans down the bar with the Bears up on the big screen. When they win, like they did in Sunday’s match-up against the Tennessee Titans, you won’t only see it unfold on the television but hear the roars of victory bellowing through the Bears bar.

The Pensacola Chicago Bears Fan Club has been meeting for 10 years and meets at Play for all noon games, according to the Pensacola Chicago Bears Fan Club Facebook group. Despite Play being a bar, those under 21 are allowed during Bears games. Food is provided for some games, with a Chicago-inspired potluck for others. The group’s signature drink is the Big Ditka and is $12 and comes in a signature Play fan cup.

Where to watch the NFL in Pensacola: 16 area sports bars with lots of screens and specials

    Pittsburg Steelers

Beef ‘O’ Brady’s at 1 New Market St. in Cantonment is where you’ll find the Steelers fans pile in sporting their best black-and-gold attire. Beef ‘O’ Brady’s offers over 50 televisions to catch the game. It’s also family-friendly, and kids get one free entrée off the kids menu in addition to the purchase of an adult entrée. Fans will travel far and wide to participate in the Beef ‘O’ Brady’s Steelers fandom.

    New Orleans Saints

Saints fans dominate the Pensacola area, leading several restaurants and bars to host watch parties and unite fans. If you’re a Saints fan, here are a few places to join in on all the action:

Restaurant NOLA at 523 E. Gregory St. is inviting all Saints fans to convene on the covered patio for game day, with Saints game specials to match. These include:

    • Michelob Ultra and Bud Light pitchers for $12 and drafts for $4
    • $2 off hurricanes and bayou water
    • $8.99 fried pickle appetizers

Restaurant NOLA’s older sister, Café Nola at 400 Quietwater Beach Road on Pensacola Beach, will also be a go-to spot this season for Saints watch parties. You can expect to find in-game deals like half-off appetizers, half-off drinks and bucket specials.

Baby’s Beefs Lounge & Meats at 309 S. Reus St., a passion project from the makers of Union Public House, is a newly opened “upscale dive bar” that's here just in time for Saints season. The bar was designed with New Orleans flair in mind, from the Rougarou graffitied on the walls to the boozy snoballs, but offers a few fun surprises on Saints game days. While the bar is typically closed on Sundays, they open a little before and after Saints games with a pop-up buffet that transports you to the Big Easy. Their first buffet debuted Sept. 7 for a fixed price of $30, including cochon de lait, shrimp etouffee, greens, nuts, white beans and Gambino bread. They also offered Bloody Mary drinks with buffet style fixings and $1 mimosas. Follow the Baby’s Beefs Lounge & Meat Facebook page for real-time updates and information.

Saints Sundays are a regular event at Perfect Plain Brewing Co . Historically, Perfect Plain has offered specials on oyster plates, discounts for customers wearing Saints gear, discounted beer pitchers and taco platters for game day. The brewery is also rolling out Perfect Plain Football Mug Club and Game Day Loyalty Cards. Follow Perfect Plain Brewing Co. for real-time updates and information.

    Philadelphia Eagles

If you’re an Eagles fan – the best place to go for information on meetups is the Pensacola Bleed Green Nation!! Facebook page . The group was created for Philadelphia Eagles fans “in and around the area of Pensacola” to communicate, get together and celebrate the Birds.

    Kansas City Chiefs

Bubba’s 33 at 7001 N Davis Highway is the go-to spot for Chiefs fans, as the fans meet out on the patio. The franchise is known for its in-house, from-scratch-made food and family-friendly sports bar environment. The franchise also prides itself on a wide variety of draft and bottled beer, including domestic, craft, import and cider beers. The menu has a little bit of everything, including starters, salads, wings, pizza, burgers, sandwiches, dinners and desserts.

    Dallas Cowboys

Cowboys fans float around the Pensacola bar scene, but Intermission at a 214 Palafox Place tends to be a hot spot frequented by members of the Official Dallas Cowboy Downtown Pensacola Fan Club . This year, Intermission will have food on the weekends by longtime Pensacola chef Keith Pardue, owner of Elevated Entrée. You can see his rotating NFL Game Day menu, ranging from St. Louis style ribs to crispy street tacos, on the Elevated Entree Facebook page.
