PEORIA COUNTY, Ill. (WMBD) — One driver was injured Monday afternoon after a crash involving a semi-truck and an Amazon delivery truck in Mapleton, Peoria County. According to Illinois State Police, the crash happened just before 1:45 p.m. Monday on US Route 24 at 1st Avenue in Mapleton. Troopers with the ISP Troop 4 responded to the crash that involved a semi-tractor truck and an Amazon delivery truck.
Man charged with animal cruelty for locking dog in hot car
PEORIA (25News Now) - Peoria County prosecutors have charged an Iowa man with animal cruelty for allegedly keeping his dog locked in a vehicle that reached 150 degrees. About 1:30 p.m. Saturday, police were called to the 200 block of Pecan Street in the Warehouse District. In a release, the state’s attorney’s office said it appeared the dog had been chewing through the window to get out of the vehicle.
