New concession options coming to Peoria Civic Center

The Peoria Civic Center expects to offer multiple new concession stands for guests later this year. The expanded food choices will include quick grab-and-go options, a BBQ joint and a Mexican cantina.

Various other renovations and upgrades, which will be unveiled in September, are also taking place.

From Blu-Ray movies to bloody marys: Brunch restaurant coming to Peoria

Bloody Mary Brunch Company is aiming to open around Labor Day, according to a Q&A style press release from owner Chris Herold.

The restaurant – located at 708 W. Glen Ave. – will fill the space which previously housed Family Video. The establishment plans to offer "a Southern inspired, premium breakfast, brunch and lunch menu," with items such as southern fried chicken and biscuits.

New Dunlap restaurant offers burgers and more

On July 3, Ca-Meals Bar N Grill opened at the Lake of the Woods Plaza in Dunlap.

Customers at the restaurant will find burgers, sandwiches, BBQ dishes and more. On the weekends, a brunch menu includes omelettes, biscuits and gravy and more.
