Bluejays Season Ends in Grinnell
The 2024 high school baseball season for Perry finished on Friday night after a 4-0 loss to Grinnell in the opening round of Class 3A Substate play. The top seeded Tigers were at home and they improved to 26-11 after scoring single runs in the first and sixth innings, and putting two on the board in the fourth. The Bluejays finish the season 11-18.

The movie was framed as being set in Gatlin, Nebraska, it was largely shot in Hornick, Salix, Sergeant Bluff and Whiting in the fall 1983.
