On Friday, the four of us (2024-25 Syttende Mai Queen Katelyn Gustafson, me, Second Princess Addisyn Wichelman and Third Princess Adeline Haugen) attended the River Falls Days Parade and Queen’s Tea. We saw some familiar faces, and some new ones when we met the new River Falls Ambassadors. River Falls had a huge turnout for their parade, so we were able to see a lot from the town of River Falls with our float Leif.
Three Vehicle Accident South of Blair
The Trempealeau County Scheriffs Department received at report of a three vehicle crash on Highway 53 at the County I interesection Wednesday around 12:40 PM. The investication found that two northbound vehicles were stopped on Highway 53 waiting for a vehicle to make a left hand turn onto County I. Another vehicle failed to stop striking the already stopped vehicles and then left the roadway and overturned in a creek.
Mankato motorcyclist hurt in Friday evening crash
MANKATO, Minn. – A motorcyclist crashed in southern Minnesota on Friday evening. The Minnesota State Patrol says Shawn Lee Ward, 39 of Mankato, was riding a 2009 Harley Davidson FXDF Cruiser north on Highway 169. The State Patrol says Ward tried to take the onramp to eastbound Highway 14 around 8:07 pm and lost control of his bike.
