Three Mountain Brook businesses are up for consideration for the Alabama Retail Association's Alabama Retailer of the Year Customer's Choice Award. Little Hardware is one of the 15 businesses in the medium-large sales volume category. Heezie's and Sol Y Luna Tapas and Tequilas are two of the eight up for the award in the emerging category.
Destin named top fishing spot in Florida
A new study has crowned Destin as the best fishing destination in Florida, outranking 201 other towns across the state. The study, conducted by FishingBooker, the leading site for booking fishing trips in the U.S., evaluated Florida’s fishing spots based on six criteria. Destin emerged as the clear winner, scoring 59 out of a possible 60 points.

Sweltering heat on repeat
MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) — The heat is on and it's not going anywhere anytime soon as we hold onto our daily chance of pop-up storms. Tuesday will bring highs in the low to mid 90s across the central Gulf Coast, but when you factor in the humidity, it will feel closer to 110! A heat advisory will be in effect from 10AM-7PM across the entire NBC 15 area. There will be some that get cooled by rain with a 40% chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms.
