We lost Dave Loggins over the weekend. I moved here on the Saturday of the final round of the 1984 Masters. I was lucky enough to secure a ticket to the final round that year. But it wasn’t until the 1985 Masters that I became aware of a song written about the tournament. A song written by Dave Loggins. Dave was best known for the song “Please Come To Boston”. Dave was also the second cousin of Kenny Loggins. But to Augustans, he will forever be known as the fellow that wrote “Augusta”.
