Gather by the Ghost Light debuts comedy
There’s something special about being part of a play’s debut. “I love doing stuff that nobody in the area has ever seen before,” said Brad King, who plays the role of Eugene in Gather By the Ghost Light’s production of “All Bark, No Bite,” which makes its Augusta debut this weekend. Shows will be July 19-20, 25-27 at Le Chat Noir. “Some groups choose things because of name recognition. There’s just something about the complete unknown. I hope people will come and laugh.”
Arts in the Heart no longer at Telfair Street, returning to Broad Street
One of the area's biggest festivals is seeing another change in location. This year's Arts in the Heart of Augusta will be back on Broad Street, according to a news release from spokesperson Rhian Swain. It was announced in March that the festival was to be moved to Telfair Street due to road construction on Broad. However, that work has been delayed until 2025.
