Lucas County Children Services running out of money, adding levy to November ballot
TOLEDO, Ohio — Lucas County voters in November will see a 1.5-mill levy on the ballot for Lucas County Children Services. LCCS Executive Director Randy Muth said the agency is in dire need of money, so if this new levy doesn't pass, there will be financial cuts. The Lorain County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously Friday to place a 1.8-mill, five-year renewal levy for Lorain County Children Services on the November ballot. Young go-kart racer living life in the fast lane
For 11-year-old Brecksville resident Brady Lewandowski, checkered flags and finishing ahead of the pack has become a way of life. Lewandowski, who began go-kart racing at age 5, won his first championship in the 8-12 age group at Thompson Kart Raceway in 2021. He currently trains and competes in a 10-race series at Pitt Race Karting in Wampum, Pennsylvania, in the Junior Sportsman’s Class.
