Things go into the fourth quarter with West Virginia up, 21-17. Drew Allar is finally able to make a big play for the Nittany Lions offense and Penn State takes the lead back, 24-21. WVU ties it on a long field goal, but Penn State is able to eat up the final five minutes of the game clock, and they kick a short field goal in the rain as time expires, winning, 27-24.
