    Martha Virginia Thach Lamb, 91, of 182 Beech Springs Road, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024 in Chowan River Nursing and Rehabilitation, Edenton. Mrs. Lamb was born in Perquimans County on January 15, 1933, and was the daughter of the late Benjamin James and Essie Mae Lane Thach. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Elisha Lamb, her former husband, Earl David Harrell, Jr., a daughter, Darlene Dail, a son-in-law, Ronald Chaulk, Sr., a sister, Louise Harrell, and by brothers, Harry and Jamie Thach. A retired clerk, she was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church and more recently had attended Faith Pentecostal Holiness Church. Among other enjoyments in her life, she loved to crochet. Surviving are her three daughters, Diane Chaulk of Belvidere, Karen Dail (Gene) of Hertford, and Christie Lamb (Eric), both of Hertford; three sons, David Harrell (Karen) of Tyner, Danny Harrell (Rita) of Hobbsville, and Dennis Harrell (Kathy) of Marblehead, OH; four step-children; 20 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Faith Pentecostal Holiness Church and were conducted by Pastor Danny Gurganus. A private burial followed in the Dail Family Cemetery, Hunter's Fork Road, Tyner. Friends visited with the family in the fellowship hall of the church immediately following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
