SE Ohio Foodbank hosts food distribution for Perry County residents
NEW LEXINGTON — The SE Ohio Foodbank, a program of Hocking Athens Perry Community Action (HAPCAP), will distribute food for Perry County residents at the Perry County Fairgrounds from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, June 21. Fresh produce and other food items will be available for Perry County residents who qualify for state benefits or with incomes under 200% of Federal Poverty Guidelines. To access food assistance, a photo I.D. and proof of residency no more than 60 days old is required. Pre-registration is not required for this event. Ribbon cut on RV resort
The ribbon is cut last Thursday to open Campbell Cove RV Resort & Campground, located at , 30713 Lake Logan Road in Logan. Campbell Cove has full hookup spots for any size RV,as well as cabins and tent camping areas. It also offers a miniature golf course called Wormburner Park Golf.

LANCASTER — Fairfield Federal, in partnership with Park National Bank and Vinton County National Bank, has sponsored 30 automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to be distributed to non-profit organizations in Fairfield County. OXFORD, Ohio — Miami University students who are ranked in the top twenty percent of undergraduate students within each division for the spring semester 2024 have been named to the dean’s list recognizing academic excellence. Two Perry County villages to get state money for water projects
COLUMBUS — On June 5 state Senator Tim Schaffer (R-Lancaster) announced that the 20th Senate District will receive $5,562,947 in grant awards to help improve water infrastructure. The funding is part of the sixth round of the Ohio BUILDS (Broadband, Utilities, and Infrastructure for Local Development Success) Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Grant Program. 4-H club news
The Madison Junior Farmers 4-H club held two meetings in June. Treasurer Mylie Forgrave called the June 9 meeting to order. Mylie did a presentation on how to move around a hog in the show ring. Advisor Bruce Forgrave led the activity for this meeting. It was to practice hog judging. Reminders for next meeting and upcoming project judging were reviewed. The June 16 meeting was called to order by Jaycee Wilson, and she led the group in pledges. Secretary Abi Shearer took minutes. The Perry County Fair Premium books were handed out and advisor LeAnn Forgrave answered questions on projects and upcoming events. Next meeting will be scheduled once club t-shirts are received. 4-H club donates to treatment center
The Junction City Creation Station 4-H Club collected items to donate to the Fairfield Cancer and Infusion Treatment Center.
