Heber City Smith’s Marketplace opens Saturday
Smith’s Food & Drug will open a new Smith’s Marketplace store at 744 North Main Street in Heber City on Saturday, July 20, at 8 a.m. The 123,000 square foot multi-department store will offer a full line of grocery products along with apparel, household goods, outdoor garden center and sporting equipment. The new store features a floral department, drive-through pharmacy, made-from-scratch donuts, online grocery pick up and a Starbucks with indoor seating for 50 people and a seasonal outdoor patio for 25 guests. A mural of the Heber Valley, created by local artist John Moore, will greet customers as they enter the store.
New BYU Creamery on Ninth East Building
Brigham Young University announced plans to construct a new Creamery on Ninth building. The new building will be located on the west side of the parking lot of the current Creamery on Ninth. Construction will begin this month, and the new building will open to the public in mid-2025. To limit the impact on the campus community, the current Creamery on Ninth will remain open until just before the new store opens.
