Union Education Assoc. to Host Annual Town-Wide Block Party
UNION, NJ - A "Town-Wide Block Party", hosted by the Union Township Education Association (UTEA), is set for Tuesday, August 13, in Rabkin Park for all Union residents. "The UTEA tries to find ways to interact with our community," said Ann Margaret Shannon, UTEA President. “The UTEA is excited to mingle and share music, fun, games and a meal with our community."CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTER The fun will include music by a DJ, children’s games and bouncy houses, and a health fair featuring Optical Academy, Zumba, kickboxing, and yoga. Residents five years and up will receive a $10 food voucher (while supplies last). Visitors are asked to bring food to donate to the food pantry and to bring lawn chairs. Car Crashes on Hyatt Hills Golf Course in Clark
Clark, NJ — A single-vehicle accident occurred on the Hyatt Hills Golf Course, located at 1300 Raritan Rd, Sunday evening. Motorcyclist, 31, dies a day after crash with minivan on Staten Island, says NYPD
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A man who was seriously injured in a Saturday night crash on Hylan Boulevard has died, according to authorities. James Barry, 31, died a day after his motorcycle was in a crash involving a minivan near Hylan and Dongan Hills Avenue around 10 p.m. on Saturday night, the NYPD told the Staten Island Advance/SILive.com.

Two Tractor-Trailers Crash and Catch Fire in on NJ Turnpike in Monroe Township
MONROE TOWNSHIP, NJ (MIDDLESEX)–New Jersey State Police, Sgt. Charles Marchan, told MidJersey.news that Troopers responded to a motor vehicle crash at 12:47 a.m. on the New Jersey Turnpike North, milepost 73, Monroe, Middlesex County, Saturday July 20, 2024. Based on a preliminary investigation, two tractor-trailers were traveling north when they were involved in a collision. After the collision, one of the tractors began to catch on fire. No injuries were reported on scene. The crash remains under investigation, and there is no additional information available.

Police: Elizabeth woman arrested in Guttenberg for kicking police officer
An Elizabeth woman was arrested in Guttenberg for kicking a police officer after authorities responded to a call of her being an unwanted guest in a home. On Sunday, July 14th, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to the area of 68th Street and Madison Street on a report of an unwanted party in a residence, the department wrote in their police blotter.
