Lady Bulldogs land five players on All-Conference list

PESHTIGO — Five members of the Peshtigo High School softball team received All-Conference accolades from the Packerland Conference.

Senior catcher Sam LaCoursiere and sophomore infielder Nevaeh Russell both collected First Team honors, with junior pitcher Elaina Weddell garnering Second Team recognition while freshman Gracie Bickel and sophomore Taylor Worter were both Honorable Mention as infielders.

Peshtigo’s five All-Conference selections were the third most of any school.

Algoma and Southern Door tied for the most with eight All-Packerland nods apiece. Kewaunee racked in six, Sevastopol had four, Oconto netted three, Green Bay NEW Lutheran/Providence Academy received two, while Gibraltar and Sturgeon Bay both had one All-Conference performer.

Oconto sophomores Ellyson Place (outfield) and Jaelin Kumhala (utility/DP) were both First Team choices.

Lady Blue Devil freshman Bella Coshenet was named the utility/DP player on the Second Team.

Algoma pitcher Macie Zimmerman was chosen as the Packerland Player of the Year.
