Our week is not off to a good start. Our sweet little Meg has come so far being frozen in fear curled up in the corner of a tiny cage at DACC. She is now confident, playful and the world's best cuddler. Unfortunately last night Meg was rough housing with her foster fur-sister and suffered a displaced fracture of her radius bone. She is in a tremendous amount of pain. Her foster rushed her to the emergency vet where they have now admitted her for surgery. Suddenly she has found herself back in a tiny metal cage uncertain of what comes next. We would love to reassure her and tell her it's all going to be ok but in all honesty we aren't sure that it will be. The estimate to fix her leg is $6,000 to $7,000. This is coming at a time when donations are at an all time low. We are out of funds. We have no idea how we are going to pay for this and continue to provide for the other animals in our care. What other option do we have though? Let her suffer while we figure out the logistics on our end? Euthanize an otherwise healthy, happy 10 week old puppy? People are going to ask why we can't just amputate the leg. Trust us, we've looked at that option too. Amputation would only save us around $1,000 and she's just a BABY. How do you put a value on a major limb when she has so much growing and developing left to do. There is no other answer. We have to do the surgery and we have to do it now. So we roll the dice and pray we can collect enough in donations to keep ourselves afloat. We are blessed to have so many generous supporters. We know that we have been asking a lot lately and times are tough but we are out of options. Please help and share this post. We are on our hands and knees begging. We can't do what we do without you. ❤️ 🐾 PayPal: moforjames909@gmail.com 🐾 Zelle: moforjames55@gmail.com Pets adoption pets rescues pets lovers pets addiction pets helps pets shelters pets finder’s.
