In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Albany International Airport says they too are dealing with ongoing outages that have impacted airlines and other organizations worldwide. Passengers flying in or out of the airport may experience delays due to the airline computer issue.
Attorney E. Stewart Jones disbarred for commingling clients’ money
Prominent local attorney E. Stewart Jones has been disbarred after an investigation found that he was commingling clients’ funds. The probe was spurred by a check associated with an escrow account at his former firm that was returned in January 2019. All of the escrow accounts at the firm were audited over a seven-year period.

Social Enterprise and Training Center in Albany celebrates state grant
A Capital Region career training center is receiving a state grant. Schenectady’s Social Enterprise and Training Center — or SEAT — and its culinary lab in Albany are getting $100,000 in state funding from Democratic Assemblywoman Pat Fahy. Speaking at the announcement at the lab Wednesday, SEAT founder and CEO Jennifer Lawrence says the funding supports the city’s restaurant industry.

359 arrested in New York 4-month retail theft crackdown, police say
ALBANY, N.Y. (WRGB) — More than 350 people have been arrested for organized retail theft since Mar. 15, 2024, according to state police. Steven G. James, superintendent of New York State Police, stated on Thursday that state police have arrested 359 people and recovered $101,000 in stolen property in accordance with Gov. Hochul's initiative of multi-agency retail theft crackdown announced earlier this year.
