CHARLEVOIX — Dozens of participants gathered in downtown Charlevoix on Labor Day for the 36th annual Little But Mighty Bridge Walk.

The event, which began with participants reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, saw a sea of walkers of all ages crossing Charlevoix's bascule bridge.

Traffic was briefly halted when the event began at 1 p.m. to allow the walkers safe passage. The event also raised awareness for pancreatic cancer, with t-shirts sold and donations made at the Town House Bar on Bridge Street.
