Law enforcement discovers murder victim in Hayes Township

GAYLORD — Law enforcement officials are investigating the circumstances surrounding a murder victim who was found at a residence in Hayes Township.

According to the Otsego County Sheriff's Department, deputies and troopers from the Michigan State Police were summoned to a residence in Hayes Township on Wednesday, Sept. 25 where they found a 31 year-old Otsego County man who had been deceased for an undetermined amount of time. A medical examiner was called in and determined that the man was a homicide victim.

No suspects have been identified and the investigation is continuing. The sheriff's department believes that this was an isolated incident.
