GAYLORD — The Otsego County Commission on Aging (OCCOA) Healthy Aging Program is partnering with the Health Department of Northwest Michigan to offer a flu shot and vaccine clinic from 9-11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 11 at the OCCOA building at 1165 Elkview Drive in Gaylord.

“In addition to the flu vaccine, we are able to provide other vaccinations upon request, such as Tdap and pneumococcal vaccines," Melanie Bosman of the health department said in a statement.

The Tdap vaccine protects against  tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis (whooping cough), and pneumococcal vaccines protect against illnesses like pneumonia, meningitis and sepsis.

In a statement, Bosman said Moderna COVID-19 vaccines and boosters will be available for those who are eligible as well.
