Northern Michigan high school football scores, updates for Week 8

And we're down to just two.

Two games to keep a football career or season alive. Two games to potentially wrap up the goal of a conference title. Two games to achieve any personal accomplishments.

And it starts tonight.

Two teams around Emmet and Charlevoix Counties have a chance to accomplish one of those big goals Friday night by wrapping up unbeaten outright conference titles in Petoskey and Charlevoix.

Petoskey will welcome in Sault Ste. Marie to Northmen Stadium, while Charlevoix brings in Tawas, both winnable games for the Northmen and Rayders.

Boyne City will also be home against Oscoda, East Jordan visits Frankfort in essentially a battle for second place in the league and Harbor Springs heads down to Elk Rapids.

In Otsego County, Gaylord travels to a tough Jackson Lumen Christi squad, Johannesburg-Lewiston meets Mancelona at home and Gaylord St. Mary already moved to 7-1 with a forfeit from Engadine.
