Jury finds man guilty of killing toddler in Sylvania Township
TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - A jury reached a verdict Friday in the trial for a man accused of killing a toddler he was babysitting in Sylvania Township. Court records show a jury found Michael Kitto guilty on several felonies in the death of 3-year-old Declan Hill. The jury convicted Kitto of Aggravated Murder, Murder, Felonious Assault, and Endangering Children.

Napoleon Man Sentenced to Up to 30 Years prison for Crash That Killed Passenger
A man from Napoleon, Ohio, will face up to 30 years in prison following the death of a woman who was a passenger in his car during a police chase that ended in a crash. Kim Lynn Fitch, Jr., 32, received his sentence on Thursday from Circuit Judge William Paul Nichols. Fitch was given 13 to 30 years for involuntary manslaughter and reckless driving causing death, and an additional 17 to 30 years as a fourth felony habitual offender for first-degree fleeing and eluding police. The sentences will run concurrently.

Ohio sees uptick in unemployment rate, lost jobs in June
COLUMBUS, Ohio — New economic data from the state shows that Ohio saw an uptick in its unemployment rate, and that it lost jobs in the month of June. Ohio lost 2,300 jobs during June from the revised May estimate, dropping the total employment to 5,652,900 jobs, according to figures released Friday by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. The state also did not add as many jobs in May as previously thought.
