OCSO: Two-year-old found wandering Phelps, mother arrested

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A mother in Phelps was arrested after deputies said they found her child wandering alone in the village.

According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, the two-year-old child of Michelle Lead, 32, was found walking alone on Main Street and Church Street. Deputies said the child was not wearing shoes or a shirt.

Lead was arrested on South Wayne Street and was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. She was taken to the Ontario County Jail for CAP.
