Truck fire causes major delays on I-95 South during morning commute in Bridesburg
There were traffic tie-ups after a truck fire on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia during the Friday morning commute.It happened around 4:45 a.m. between the Betsy Ross Bridge and Allegheny Avenue in the Bridesburg section.The truck appears to have jackknifed before it burst into flames.The driver suffered burns to his arms and is now recovering.No other injuries were reported.For the latest highway conditions, visit 6abc.com/Traffic.

PennDOT: Core Borings Continue on I-95 in Northeast Philadelphia
PennDOT announced core borings will continue at night next week on Interstate 95 in Northeast Philadelphia. Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:. Sunday, June 30, through Tuesday, July 2, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, a right lane closure will be in place on northbound and southbound I-95 between the Allegheny Avenue and Betsy Ross Bridge interchanges.
Trolleys rerouted July 12-29 for annual tunnel maintenance “blitz”
