Jeffrey Lurie and Howie Roseman, at the very least, discussed the idea of hiring Bill Belichick to be the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles, according to a new ESPN.com story .

The story reveals that Belichick is hoping to return to the NFL as a head coach and would be interested in joining the Eagles, Cowboys, or Giants.

Roseman reportedly told ESPN that he had a conversation with Belichick, a "check-in" after Belichick's firing from New England, but no talks about him joining the Eagles occurred.

While some teams believe Belichick is no longer the best version of himself, the Eagles reportedly did not agree. Lurie reportedly worried about overhauling the entire franchise for Belichick, who is 72 years old will not be a long-term answer.

"Fascinating, it makes sense on a lot of levels," Joe DeCamara said on Wednesday's 94WIP Morning Show, reacting to the story.
