"Here's where I'm at on Embiid, they need more out of him," Giglio said at the beginning of Monday's 94WIP Midday Show with Hugh Douglas. "I understand he's not one hundred percent, but that's the story of every postseason. They need more. The only way they win this series, in my eyes, is if he plays better than he did the other night. He had eight rebounds in 37 minutes. Let me say that again, eight rebounds in 37 minutes on the court.

"In the fourth quarter on Saturday night, Joel Embiid was 0-5 from the field, 0-2 from three and had zero rebounds. This is now nine straight playoff games he has shot under 50-percent. Is it too much for me to ask for Joel Embiid to be the MVP of the regular season in the playoffs?"

After an incredible first quarter, Embiid appeared to re-injury his left knee on a self alley-oop dunk in the second quarter. Embiid returned to the game but finished just 8-22 from the field and 2-8 from three and the Sixers fell 111-104, as the Knicks took over late winning the fourth quarter by 10 points.

To be fair, the Sixers got 62 of their 104 points from Embiid and Tyrese Maxey and Kyle Lowry added 18. After that, their fourth highest scorer was Kelly Oubre Jr. with 10 points. The Sixers' bench scored a total of just seven points, as Buddy Hield (0-1 3FG) and Nic Batum (1-4 3FG) struggled.

Both Embiid and Maxey, who is sick, are questionable for tonight's Game 2 against the Knicks in New York. Philadelphia is five point underdogs.
