Howard Eskin doubled down on his Tyrese Maxey hot take, restating that he believes Maxey is the Sixers' best player.

"I think Maxey is not the most talented, I think he is the best player on this team," Eskin told Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie on Thursday's 94WIP Morning Show.

"I think without Tyrese, they don't win. He is the guy. He doesn't complain about anything...He goes out there and just plays."

Eskin first made this point following Philadelphia's Game 2 loss last Tuesday when he said , "The star of the team is not Joel Embiid...Hey big guy, how about a stinkin' rebound in the fourth quarter? Tyrese Maxey is without question the best basketball player on this 76ers team and it's not even close."

Following his outrageous 46 point Game 5 performance, Maxey is now averaging an absurd 32.4 points per game this postseason on 50.0 FG% / 42.9 3FG% / 87.5 FT% shooting splits. Maxey is also averaging 7.2 assists and 5.2 rebounds per game this postseason.

Joel Embiid, battling through his left knee injury and Bell's palsy, is averaging 31.8 points, 10.4 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 1.2 steals, 1.6 blocks, and 4.0 turnovers per game in this series against the Knicks.
