Have Eagles given Vic Fangio enough talent on defense?

Have the Eagles actually given new defensive coordinator Vic Fangio enough talent to field a top-end NFL defense? Joe Giglio says he is "skeptical."

"Half the defense is going to be young guys," Giglio said at the beginning of Friday's 94WIP Midday Show with Hugh Douglas. "Young guys sometimes make mistakes. They're not as good Week 1 as they will be Week 10. I am skeptical they've given him enough to do this, to have a good defense."

Fangio a ddressed the media in Philadelphia on Thursday for the first time since being named defensive coordinator this offseason.

"Good players and I'm not trying to be a wise guy with that," Fangio said when asked what is the most important part of a defense.

The Eagles lost top tier edge rusher Haason Reddick this offseason, as well as defensive captain and long-time Eagle DT Fletcher Cox to retirement. They signed defense end Bryce Huff in free-agency and drafted two of the top rookie corners in Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean.
