Here are my game-by-game picks for the 2024 Philadelphia Eagles.
Week 1 — Packers (Brazil): Extremely tough game to start the season for an Eagles team that will be working on learning a whole new defense and implementing changes on offense. LOSS
Week 2 — vs. Falcons (MNF): The Eagles face Kirk Cousins in primetime in their home opener for the third straight year. The results will be the same as the last two. WIN
Week 3 — At Saints: An early-season trip to New Orleans is a good test for the Eagles offense. Playing in New Orleans is the toughest stadium in the NFL to play in, especially when it comes to communication between the QB and O-Line. WIN
Week 4 — At Bucs: The Eagles should expect plenty of blitzes from Todd Bowles. If they have the blitz issues from last year fixed they should make it 3-3 against the NFC South to start the season. WIN
Week 5 — BYE Week — An early-season Bye Week for the Eagles isn’t ideal. Have to wonder if this is somehow tied to having to go to Brazil in Week 1 and so many road games to start the season.
Week 6 — vs. Browns: The Browns played the Eagles tough in their joint practices last season. This is a win, but will be a tough game. WIN
Week 7 — at Giants: Saquon Barkley returns to MetLife and leaves with a win. The Giants are going to be really bad this year. WIN
Week 8 — at Bengals: Good test for the Eagles pass rush and Vic Fangio’s defense. If they get after Joe Burrow this is a win. I think they will. WIN
Week 9 — vs. Jaguars (SNF): Depending on how the season does, there could be some debates between which head coach/quarterback duo you would rather have: Doug Pederson and Trevor Lawrence or Nick Sirianni and Jalen Hurts? The answer right now is Sirianni and Hurts. WIN
Week 10 — at Cowboys (4:25): The Eagles never win in Dallas. They can hardly keep the game competitive. Hard to pick them to win there until they show they can. LOSS
Week 11 — vs. Commanders (TNF): Washington on a short week isn’t ideal coming off of Dallas, but the Eagles should win this game. WIN
Week 12 — at Rams: This Eagles offense is built to put up tons of points in a dome in primetime. WIN
Week 13 — at Ravens: A great test for the Eagles. This is a game that even if they lose they could walk out of Baltimore feeling good about how they played. LOSS
Week 14 — vs. Panthers: The Panthers will be bad this year, but this is a good matchup between two quarterbacks who have a ton of pressure on them heading into the season. WIN
Week 15 — vs. Steelers: Howie Roseman and the Eagles better hope Justin Fields doesn’t come into Philadelphia and beat them. WIN
Week 16 — at Commanders: The Commanders should be thinking about the 2025 NFL Draft at this point. WIN
Week 17 — vs. Cowboys: The flip side of the Eagles always losing to the Cowboys in Dallas? They have beaten the Cowboys the last two times in Philadelphia, and four of the last five overall. WIN
Week 18 — vs. Giants: A season-ending game against New York heading into the playoffs. Should be an easy win. Right? WIN
