The Philadelphia Phillies are 36-14, their best 50-game start in franchise history and best in Major League Baseball since the 2001 Seattle Mariners, but national baseball analysts Bob Nightengale and Jon Heyman are pointing out their "weak" schedule.

Both Nightengale and Heyman posted on X that the Phillies have played just three teams above .500 in their first series of the season against the Atlanta Braves.

Of course, the commentators made sure Nightengale and Heyman knew that the Phillies have won two in a row against the defending champion Texas Rangers who entered the series against the Phils 24-24.

The Phillies also swept the San Diego Padres, who are now 26-26, and completed a four-game sweep over the 24-26 San Francisco Giants.

In June, the Phillies will play the first-place Milwaukee Brewers, the 29-18 Baltimore Orioles, the 26-24 Boston Red Sox. In July, the Phils will face the Cubs, Braves and Dodgers in back to back to back series.
