Isaiah Rodgers could be one of the sneaky best signings Howie Roseman has ever made, according to 94WIP's Eliot Shorr-Parks.

"This is going to sound hyperbolic, but I really don't mean it to—I think Isaiah Rodgers can end up being one of the biggest steals Howie Roseman has made in his career as general manager," Shorr-Parks told Ike Reese, Spike Eskin and Jack Fritz on Thursday's 94WIP Afternoon Show.

"Isaiah Rodgers today made a play I haven't seen an Eagles corner make in a game or a practice in awhile. Basically a goal line drill where they were up against their own goal line...The first play Hurts drops back, tries to throw it over the middle, and Isaiah Rodgers read that thing the entire way, sat back, once the ball was thrown he jumped it and picked the pass off.

"It was his second really good practice in a row that I've seen. When you consider how he played in Indianapolis, his age, and the fact that they got him for free it's looking like it could be a real steal for Howie Roseman."

ESP reiterated on Friday's 94WIP Morning Show with Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie that Rodgers has been the most impressive Eagle through two practices so far.

Rodgers, 26, was a sixth round pick of the Colts out of UMass during the 2020 NFL Draft, Nick Sirianni's final year as Indianapolis' offensive coordinator.

Rodgers was suspended in June of 2023 for the entire 2023 NFL season for violating the league's policy on gambling and was waived by the Colts. On August 28th, 2023, the Eagles signed Rodgers, who will make just over $1 million in 2024 before becoming a free-agent after the season.

In three NFL seasons, Rodgers was productive, recording three interceptions, 10 pass deflections, one forced fumble, two tackles for loss, and 90 total tackles across 45 games (10 starts).
