Rhys Hoskins' returns to Philadelphia was as perfect as any Phillies fan could have imagined.

Hoskins received a thunderous ovation during his first at-bat ( which gave even the Milwaukee TV announcer chills ) and then later in the game stole second base, was thrown out at home plate by Johan Rojas and hit a solo home run off of Zack Wheeler.

Wheeler and the Phillies got the final laugh, as the Phils won 3-1 to improve to 42-19.

"Without actually being able to be perfect, it was essentially perfect," Joe DeCamara said on Tuesday's 94WIP Morning Show. "I thought the Rhys stuff was awesome. When I say perfect I'm referring to the fact that he gets multiple ovations, big ovations. He said and did all the right things. Phillies win, don't lose sight of that and I don't think anyone has lost sight of that. Phillies, by the way, get back to now tied for having the best record in baseball. Zack Wheeler was great, but Rhys Hoskins also hit a home run which I thought was cool.

"[Johan] Rojas gets a hit and throws out Rhys, the significance should not be lost on anybody. Rojas was like the main guy that replaced Rhys Hoskins."

Before the game, Hoskins talked about playing in Philadelphia.

After the game, Hoskins talked about the incredible ovation he received.

The Phillies and Brewers face off again tonight at Citizens Bank Park. First pitch is at 6:40pm.
