Former Philadelphia Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. took some time to speak about his love for Philly fans on Tuesday's 94WIP Morning Show following Monday night's incredible homecoming for Rhys Hoskins .

"I think the biggest thing that stood out to me was the fans," Amaro Jr. told Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie when asked about Monday night's unforgettable game at Citizens Bank Park.

"I mean the fans have just been phenomenal over the last several years. Just to watch how they've sort of responded to the players that they appreciate, I think it's really cool. Even the players that have been struggling. We talk about the [Alec] Bohm situation, we talk about Trea Turner. I know that the fans have a great feel and love for the guys who have played in the past and have had success—the Utley's and the Rollins' and all of those guys.

"I just think the way that they've responded to and appreciated the athletes here, it's kind of heart warming because you know Philly fans take a lot of heat for the negativity part. The positivity part is something that I really enjoyed.

"There was some electricity in that ballpark yesterday, man. I was walking around the in the stands and wow are people fired up, it's unbelievable. It's really a great setting right now, people are loving the game, they are loving the Phillies...It's just a joy to be around, it's fun."
