Another sold out crowd at Citizens Bank Park showed their appreciation for Phillies veteran catcher J.T. Realmuto on Tuesday night, chanting his name after he took a beating.

"It meant a lot, for sure," Realmuto said after the game. "They've had my back for a lot of years now, so to hear that in that big of a spot. Being able to get out of the inning that was the most important thing, but that was pretty cool for me to be able to experience that."

Realmuto made a great catch and tag to get the runner out at home plate and keep the game tied in the 10th.

Earlier in the game, Realmuto took a vicious foul tip to the groin area .

"He is so wrestler tough," Jon Ritchie said of Realmuto on Wednesday's 94WIP Morning Show. "I know he played football and he played quarterback, but he had to have wrestled in high school too and I remember reading about that at some point. The shot that he took, that was, I don't know—scary! Boom, one of those shoulders to the head type.

"I was thinking you were talking about the shot he took a little bit earlier in the game, which was way more tough to watch," James Seltzer replied.

The Phillies won the game 2-1 on a walk off hit by Nick Castellanos, who after the game called Realmuto the "backbone of our team."

The Phillies have won 22 of their 25 games at Citizens Bank Park and are now 43-19, tied for the MLB's best record with the New York Yankees.

Aaron Nola gets the ball for the Phillies as they look to complete a three-game sweep of the Brewers today at 4:05pm. Listen on 94.1 WIP-FM and the free Audacy app.
