Giglio: Morey saying 'Sixers plan to be best in East' does not add up to me

Joe Giglio is not buying what Daryl Morey is selling, that the Philadelphia 76ers will be "the best team in the East" next season.

"Is this actually going to be a championship level contender?" Giglio asked on Thursday's 94WIP Midday Show. "Daryl Morey, he's talking about that. He's talking about that and I'm like—it doesn't add up to me."

Following the Sixers' selection of Duke 20-year-old guard Jared McCain with the 16th overall pick, team president Daryl Morey said the Sixers plan on being the best team in the East next season.

"What is Daryl Morey doing and does he know what he's doing? Does he have a plan here?"

The Sixers enter free-agency with a clean slate. They have more than $60 million in cap space to add to two All-Stars in Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.
