Bryce Harper suffered a hamstring injury running to first base in the 9th inning of Thursday's night loss to the Marlins and James Seltzer is really bummed out about it.

"I am bummed man," Seltzer said on Friday's 94WIP Morning Show. "This has been a magical year, for the team and also for him. He just got selected to the freakin' All-Star game yesterday and yet again, he's not going to be playing in the All-Star game as a Phillie....He was on pace for an MVP season, we were talking about this whole special thing with this guy. It sucks, man! It sucks. Today sucks! I am in a bad mood, I am bummed out.

"I know it's certainly not the end of the season, but it certainly feels like the end of the best season we've ever seen from the Phillies. The end of the magic and certainly the first sign of something where maybe this season isn't going to go the way you want it to."

Harper spoke about the hamstring injury he suffered after last night's loss to the Marlins.

Harper was having a career year slashing .303/.399/.582 with 20 home runs and 58 RBI in 76 games. He was second in the NL MVP odds and was named as a starter in the All-Star game as the NL's leading vote getter.
