These six Phillies studs are finalists for All-Star spots; Will any land one?

Throughout the season, the Philadelphia Phillies have proved to be one of the most dominant teams in Major League Baseball. This has been proven with an unbelievably strong showing in the All-Star voting.

Not only do the Phillies have six players who made it into the final round, but first baseman Bryce Harper received more votes than any other player in the National League, guaranteeing him a spot in the All-Star game on July 16.

But who will be joining him in representing the NL? The best bet is Alec Bohm at third base, who is tied for the NL lead with 64 RBIs while hitting .304/.356/.492 and 28 doubles, more than anyone else in MLB. While he faces a strong opponent in the San Diego Padres' Manny Machado, his slow start to the season gives Bohm an advantage.

Shortstop Trea Turner is also a prime candidate, having maintained .329/.380/.445 over 41 games despite missing six weeks with a strained hamstring. He is currently the underdog to the Los Angeles Dodgers' Mookie Betts but could overtake Betts since he is currently out with a fractured hand.

The stiffest competition comes in the outfield, where Nick Castellanos and Brandon Marsh are up against Christian Yelich of the Milwaukee Brewers, Teoscar Hernández of the Dodgers, and Fernando Tatis Jr. and Jurickson Profar of the Padres.

This leaves two Phillies players who likely won't make the final cut: catcher J.T. Realmuto and designated hitter Kyle Schwarber. Realmuto is currently sidelined recovering from knee surgery and Schwarber just left the Miami Marlins game with a strained groin. On top of this, Schwarber is facing Shohei Ohtani, and there is no way he'd beat Ohtani in votes.

While it remains unlikely that every one of these players will make it to the All-Star game, their placement is still a testament to the depth and excellence throughout the Phillies roster.
