Paul George became a very rich man on Monday morning.

Of course, he was already a very rich man before signing the 4-year, $212 million deal to become a member of the Philadelphia 76ers, but the new nine-figure contract certainly boosted the bank account.

After an early morning announcement, George will not join Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey in Philadelphia, where he will look to continue on a legacy of historic basketball in the City of Brotherly Love.

With the contract now signed, photos of George during his free-agent visit to Philadelphia are coming out, and it appears that he paid homage to one of the biggest legends in Philly history — The Answer.

George wore a shirt of Allen Iverson at his meeting, the 2001 MVP for the Sixers. Iverson is among the most legendary NBA players, beloved for his time in Philly.

Philly fans loved this, of course.

Is it pandering to his audience, or is George really just a major Allen Iverson fan who wanted to display that in his meeting? We may never know.

We do know, however, that George gives the 76ers a great chance to have a deep run in the Eastern Conference this next season and contend with the Boston Celtics for a spot in the NBA Finals, should everyone stay healthy.
