The Philadelphia 76ers have just signed a five-year, $204 million contract with Tyrese Maxey.

Maxey, who won last year’s “Most Improved Player” last season, and averaged 26 points per game, was eligible for a rookie extension last season.

The 76ers secured Maxey’s position by not paying him in the offseason to create more cap space and instead using his $13 million cap hold as a free agent.

Maxey and teammate Joel Embiid were seemingly unstoppable, until Embiid sadly faced an injury. Although this slowed Maxey down, it put him at the top of the opponents scouting report.

Maxey, Embidd, and the recently signed Paul George, make up the Big 3 in Philadelphia.
